THE INFLUENCE OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND APPRECIATION SYSTEM FOR TEACHER’S WORKING SATISFACTION
(Analysis Study in Junior High School Teachers of Yayasan Penyelenggaraan Ilahi in 2005)
This research was done based on the lacking of achievement motivation and appreciation system which was given by the foundation or institute of school organizer that has not been optimum so tha it causes the lowness of Teacher’s working satisfaction. Regarding of the explanation above, the research expressed how big the influence teacher’s teacher achievement motivation and appreciation system which has been given to them for Teacher’s working satisfaction.
The purpose of this research is to describe and to analyze the variable of teacher’s achievement and system appreciation in relating with the satisfaction of teacher’s working. The research is based on the theory which related in Achievement Motivation, Appreciation System and Working Satisfaction as well as Education Administration Concept.
The research also used the quantity approaching through technical analysis descriptive correlation and regression using parametric static. In a quantitive manner, to process, to analyze and to interpret the data which has been collected passed through the questionnaire. In a descriptive correlation is aimed to describe the facts systematically the characteristic and the relation with the phenomenon which was researched. Sampling technic which is used is sampling random technic, the subject of the researching is three Private Junior High Schools which are organized by YPI in Bandung, Jakarta, and Semarang with population 100 people and 20 people for trying out. The result of this research showed that all four hypotheses which are proposed are accepted and supported by the empirical datas. We can conclude from the result of the research that the influence of Teacher’s Achievement Motivation in Working Satisfaction is 26,5 %, the influence of Appreciation System in Working Satisfaction is 28,6 % and the influence of Achievement Motivation and Appreciation System along with the Teacher’s Working Satisfaction is 34,6 % and the correlation between Achievement Motivation and Appreciation System is 59,1 %. Based on the result of the research which has been found we can recommend the following things: the improving of Achievement Motivation uses means of recontemplation to the way of acting which was given to the teachers. They have been treated suitable with their portion and position in doing their working and having the freedom in creating something. To improve the teacher’s Working Satisfaction is strived with the repairing of Appreciation System so the teachers are urged on optimism their ability which is owned and work responsibly in reaching working satisfaction and for the school progress.
